What’s Your Addiction?
In a previous post I mentioned the Japan Couture Addicts, which some seem to not know. If French is not your mother tongue and you’re not afraid of surfing in a foreign language/using Google Translator, here are some other interesting sites:
- if you like to sew from Ottobre, there’s the Ottobre Addicts site. Ottobre lists a few other similar forum on their blog, maybe your country is represented? Germany is, but I never was able to warm up to that forum so I’m following the French one.
- if you like to sew from Farbenmix patterns, then there’s the Farbenmix addicts. Or just have a look at the gallery on the Farbenmix site.
- Do you sew from Simplicity? Visit the Simplicity Addict. Vogue and others? there’s the BMV addicts. Burda? Become a Burda Addict. They’re rather like Pattern Review, just in French. Also, I think the readers’ projects of the russian Burda site are really interesting and worth a look whenever considering a Burda pattern.
If you need a theme as incentive to sew, maybe you should follow the SewWeekly, and if a project a week is too much for you, as it would be for me, then hop over to j’ai rien a me mettre (I have nothing to put on), where you have a few weeks for your project (current theme is cocooning). If you’re a seamstress that knits or a knitter who sew, then you should definitely be a part of Ravelry, and then have a look at the defi13 for more themed crafting.
