What Were They Thinking?

November 20, 2012

Exclusive \iks-ˈklü-siv, -ziv\:  catering for or available to only a few, select customers; high-class and expensive; Oxford dictionary

Synonyms: elite, special, select, fashionable. Thesaurus

I suppose, however, that Vogue’s Web exclusive patterns are more exclusive in the sense of “restricted in distribution, use, or appeal because of expense” (Webster dictionary).

Have a look at them, technical drawings and all, by clicking on the pictures:

And if you know of a seamstress that’s sewn them up with satisfactory/flattering results, please share the link! Or am I missing something? What do you think?

Edited to add: I think Toy also had a “WWTT” moment when she looked at the latest Butterick release. We posted a couple of minutes apart and I couldn’t help but lol while reading her post.

Hmm, I can honestly say I won’t be wearing any of these! Nevermind actually buying a pattern.

It looks very thrown together. Not in that good way, either.
