New pattern source on the block
I spent almost as much time drooling on patterns from independent companies (like Colette) as I do on Burda and Big 4 patterns. And recently, I’ve discovered a new source, which I though I would share with you all. It’s a japanese pattern designer called Tamanegi-Kobo. Here are my favorites:
The Venus skirt (latest pattern):
The Sophia coat:
The Rebecca coat:
The Athena shirt:
For international orders, the patterns are only available as .pdf, payable with paypal. Also, they are in japanese but as usual with japanese patterns, they’re so well illustrated you really don’t need to understand the text (by this time it becomes clear to you that I have downloaded at least one of the above patterns. I’ll be honest: I have more than one…). And if you do need help, then ask Yoshimi, she seems to have tested most patterns already, is a real good sewer (she’s one the Selfish seamstress’s nemesis) and has blogged that she would be willing to help so she can only blame herself if she now gets an email overflow about these patterns lol. OR if you’d like a risk-free trial, have a look at the basic free patterns. There are also patterns for kids and the shop is updated regularly.
Wow, that blue plaid coat is gorgeous! I can’t wait tos see what you’ll be making!
