Lookbook and one of my homelands in Burda!

May 12, 2010

You know the girly girly very girly princess pants (also look at the chair in the background)?

Look at this handmade dress, a gift from Cameroon, from my mom:

Now if you’ve bought the April issue of Burda, this fabric might look familiar. I couldn’t believe it when I saw it, as this fabric is typical of West Cameroon:

None of the Burda mags have had a”wow”-effect on me since my last review, which is the reason I haven’t published any other. This one was no different. In fact, I found it strikingly… neutral. Neither good, nor bad, just… there. I would’ve put it right back on the stand with a shoulder shrug, if it wasn’t for the above photo. Thought I needed this in my archive. I didn’t buy the May issue. There’s talk about the June issue being worth the money, though…
